The Christian Men Shortage

Christian Men Behind the Church Pulpit

“Of the World” Preaching by Christian Men

Christian MenI first wanted to start out by saying that I do not mean to pick on Steven Furtick too much with this blog. I disagree with his teaching and think he tends to preach like a pharisee. He focuses on the worldly pleasures instead of empowering the massive flock that he leads. He, along with many others, are leading Christian men to a sissified form of the gospel. This movement reminds me of the trendy Christian cringe I stumbled upon while on vacation.

The mega church pastor has feminized the average Christian male. This epidemic starts with a simple cardigan and ends with skinny jeans with worn seems.

Furtick is falling behind quickly on the “culture-style” attire he wears on stage each Sunday. I refrain from saying the stage at his “church” actually has a pulpit.

But Carl Lentz has replaced Furtick on the “woke” scale. Lentz is famous for his answer (or lack-thereof) to an abortion question on The View.

Christian Men Lacking Biblical Discernment

Christian men that fill the pews on Sunday mornings at these mega churches are obviously lacking Biblical discernment. I say this because if you actually studied the Bible diligently you would realize that these churches are filled with filth and leave.

These pastors have created cult followings that are leading sheep to the slaughter. Thousands of men are being led to hear, “Depart from me…” at the day of their judgement because of mega pastors like Lentz and Furtick.

I am in no way saying that these two pastors are the sole reason for this epidemic, but there are a slue of false teachers on Christian television every day. It is important for the true men of God to stand against this movement in evangelicalism and call it for what it is.

Changing the Feminist Backslide

Christian MenIf we call out these false teachers, then we can begin to repair the churches that they have destroyed. The “un-tuck” shirt movement that has invaded the church stage has degraded the gospel to an alarming state of health. Christian men no longer see it necessary to promote themselves in a manly manner, but instead apologize for their masculinity.

Instead of following pastors such as Voddie Baucham and Paul Washer, Christian men are following false teachers that tickle their ears. The issue with Baucham and Washer is that they call us out for our sissified culture and what we need to do to change and repent.  Yes, the Bible clearly states that our wives should submit to us in marriage. But what is even more important is to love our wives like Christ loves the Church.

When men in the church leave their wives or watch pornography, it destroys the home. Then the foundation of the local church weakens. When the local church weakens the disease spreads to the community. Finally, when the whole community erodes the national movement starts.

These false teachers invade communities with their church planting and change the community from the inside out. True, Biblical doctrine is Christian Menseen as too “old school” and must be changed. They bring in non-believers with their coffee and keep them because of their wussy gospels.

And Finally…

We all have loved ones that are trapped in this movement. This movement is most likely making its way into the church you attend. First it is Jesus Culture music and soon enough your pastor will wear a t shirt instead of a suit. The Holy Spirit is evicted from these churches. This is due to true Christians leaving for another church. We did it! But it is even more important that strong Biblical people stay at that church to fight this disease. The great commission calls us to go and make disciples.

God bless you and your witnessing to these men lost in the movement.

Starting 1John 4 and Discussing False Teachers (Podcast Episode)

Click Here to Listen to our Discussion!

Welcome to the podcast!

Today we are beginning our study into 1 John 4. These first six verses today are VERY clear on our duty and mission to root out false teachers. John gives us the knowledge to determine which is a true gospel and false gospel.

Who/what are false teachers and false doctrines today? We discuss John’s rules on rooting out these falsehoods from the Antichrist.

I go into a discussion on how we need to be vigilant in our everyday lives. As true brothers and sisters who have the Holy Spirit living within us, we know how to root out these evildoers and know what we need to stray away from. I discuss how we should stray away from pagan television shows and Netflix specials. Stay away from Rated R television, even if it is a difficult parting. The pain is worth it to glorify our Creator!

We also need to stray away from false teachings or cults… yes, Roman Catholicism. I would encourage you to watch the YouTube videos where R.C. Sproul and John MacArthur discuss Roman Catholicism if you want to receive more knowledge on this religion.

I loved recording this podcast today and I hope you tune in next Tuesday as we continue our study on the Election! I also plan on a “week in review” podcast to start airing Sunday afternoons.

God bless

Is Scripture Sufficient for you?

If you read my blog post discussing how I rejected sharing my faith as Peter did, I discussed how the lady was having a difficult time and discussing her problems with her friend. She was asking why God heals some but does not heal others. My heart wept for her, but I did not act on it. I worry and my heart crumbles at the thought of what she might go through after I decided not to act on the Holy Spirit telling me to talk with her and to comfort her.

The sufficiency of scripture is something that is being attacked today in modern Christianity. You see plenty of false teachers discussing how they have conversations with God outside of the Holy Bible. Why is this? It is because speaking the true Word of God is not usually financially beneficial. False teachers like Creflo Dollar, Jessie Duplantis, Joel Osteen, and Rod Parsley just to name a few of these false teachers that proclaim they talk with God. Creflo Dollar and Duplantis are probably the most egregious, especially with Duplantis just discussing how God told him to purchase a new jet (of course, with the help of your dime).

The word of faith movement and the health and wealth gospel has greatly diminished the true Word of God, leading millions into a false salvation and false hope in Jesus Christ. Submitting your life to the Will of God has changed to “What can God do for me?”. We have turned God into a “small g god” by finding ways he can help our prosperity on Earth instead of what He can do through us to proclaim His Will.

What was most troubling to me was what she said when it came to a sign she received from the Holy Spirit. She was planning on giving up (I don’t know on what), but when she walked into her living room, a false teacher said, “Now don’t you give up” on television. Could this have been a sign from the Most High God, or was it simply just a coincidence?

Can God perform miracles here on Earth? Of course, we see it in medicine all the time. One day someone has stage four cancer, the next visit it shows that the cancer is all gone. That is a miracle. There was a homosexual man that was shot at the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando and when he survived, he turned his life around, repented of his sin and is now a follower for Christ. That is a miracle God used for His glory.

But why is there such a pull for God to speak to us outside of scripture? Why is it not sufficient enough for God to speak to us through our studies? The gospel has been so watered down for modern Christianity that when we face hard times, we often find ourselves leaving the church altogether. Why is this?

As followers of Christ we have decided not to read our Bible. We do not read and we do not pray. But when hard times come we cry out, “Why has He abandoned me?” We have pushed him out of our own daily lives but when hard times come, we blame Him for his abandonment.

What did the disciples do in their hard, torturous deaths? These men were the disciples of Christ and the payment of that on this Earth were terrible, gruesome deaths. But what was their response? They worshiped and expressed their love for Christ.

In 2018 when hard times come our way we decide to blame God and harden our hearts towards him.

“Why do bad things happen to good people?”

I would respond to this by asking what constitutes as a good person. In the 1600s a good person would be vastly different than what a good person is today. A good person in secular terms is based on the era that they are born.

The Holy Text is clear on who we are: Wretched souls that only have a chance because of Jesus Christ. There is nothing that we can do here on Earth that can change that and there is nothing that we can do here on Earth to earn our salvation. Our actions have been sinful and evil and will continue to be. Our hearts and mind are wretched and vile. But Christ has given us a chance, to live in repentance and turn away from our wicked souls. To follow Him instead of following the world.

So the next time you find yourself in a difficult time, study the Word, repent of your sins, and pray that you are fully ready to be used by God for His Will, no matter the cost. Under a true salvation, it is evident to each and every one of us that we are wretched and evil souls, fighting against our flesh that fights against God every day. Our only hope is repentance and following Christ, no matter the cost in our personal lives.

18I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

Revelation 22: 18,19 is clear: If you add to the Bible, you will receive the plagues that are in the Bible. God is very clear on this topic, the sufficiency of scripture is enough for our walk on Earth. We can take comfort in knowing that Christ is in control of everything on Earth. Our focus should not be here, but on eternal salvation and doing His Will.

Biblically Speaking in Tongues

Speaking in tongues is one of the most controversial “gifts” of today. We have all seen or heard various pastors claiming that they have the power to speak in tongues and others around them having the power to interpret the speech. Most of it just sounds like jibberish or baby talk to us. Is there a point to where this false teaching becomes blasphemous and heretical? Yes.

It is evident, especially in the book of Acts, what the gift of speaking in tongues meant. The gift has stopped, but the Biblical examples of speaking in tongues is vastly different than it is used today.

Some people believe that you do not truly have the Holy Spirit in your heart, guiding your life, if you cannot speak in tongues. In fact, my good friend actually dated someone that believed this. She believed that he was not truly a follower of God because he could not speak in tongues.

Why do false teachers decide to teach this false gospel? Usually it revolves around the money that they can receive through their televangelism.

While reading the Holy Bible I am engulfed in the thought of what it would have been like to live back during these times. What an amazing and scary time. Would I have been a follower of God, or would I have been one of the people in the crowd mocking him? For all of us today we would have been those in the crowd. If we were followers of God, he would have elected us to live during this time for His will. Oh what an amazing thing that God has spared us! A life where we can be used for His will and be promised eternal life in Heaven.

In the book of Acts, it is recorded how speaking in tongues was used on the day of Pentecost. While the disciples were all together in a meeting, a “violent rushing wind” came in and filled the house of the meeting place, giving them the power to speak in tongues.

1When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.

An amazing thing ensued after this occurrence. The Jews living in Jerusalem, from all different nations and languages, gathered around and started hearing the disciples speak in their own individual languages. Imagine this in today’s terms. That would be as if a group of people gathering around the disciples who spoke spanish, english, french, german, dutch, chinese, russian, and swahili, all being able to interpret and understand what was being spoken to them. This is VASTLY different than the supposed speaking in tongues today.

5Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven. 6And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language. 7They were amazed and astonished, saying, “Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?

This feat was so amazing and astonishing that some in the crowd even charged the disciples with being “full of sweet wine”. This, of course, was false as they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

So what do you do if you are following a false teacher that professes he can speak in tongues today? You run. This individual is a false teacher and we are warned to denounce these people and flee from them, as they can lead us away from God and the true gospel.

God Bless

Episode 21 – Memorial Day Reflection and Studying 1John 2:17-19

Click Here to Listen to Episode 21!

Hello again and welcome to the pod!

-I start out this podcast by discussing my reflection and thoughts during this Memorial Day while in prayer. I first discuss the dedication and powerful motivation of our service men and women that are willing to lay down their life for our freedoms. I also discuss the things we can learn from these service members and their dedication, both fighting for our country and our enemies and how we can learn from those people to help strengthen our motivation to fight for Christianity. These service members that have died for us also shows us that we need to stay focused and diligent in our focus on how our government operates and wanting a better future for our children.

-We start discussing 1John faster than usual as I want to change the format of the podcast a little bit. I want to start weaving my discussions into what we will read and study in the podcast instead of just reading a few articles before discussing our reading.

-Today John writes in verses 17 – 19 warning us about lusting after the world and focusing on a world that is a temporary one, run by the evil one. We must focus on our eternal salvation and the permanent world where we can spend our days in full worship of our Lord Jesus Christ. What is more important? The gains of this world or the eternal salvation promised to us through the Bible?

-I am slowly learning how to do a better job through my podcasts and will be redoing my podcast website here soon. I want to thank you bearing these first episodes as it has been a learning experience. I started this podcast thinking about being a Steven Crowder/ Ben Shapiro mold, but have quickly turned into a strong Christian podcast. I feel like that is my calling and I thank you all for praying for me through this journey as I pray for you.

God bless
